Yes. Our owner is from St. Vincent and her husband is from Jamaica. The menu reflects both islands: Jamaican jerk technique, Vincentian stew traditions, and the shared Caribbean love of slow-cooked, deeply seasoned food. Nothing here is a compromise between the two traditions. We cook both, and we cook them right.

Caribbean cooking at its best is bold, not just hot. Our food is seasoned deeply: herbs, aromatics, and slow-cooking technique carry the flavor. Dishes like jerk chicken have a genuine kick from scotch bonnet. Others, like stew chicken and roti, are rich and aromatic without sharp heat. OWNERSHIP

Caribbean Vibes Home Cooking is a woman-owned, family-run business. The owner is originally from St. Vincent, and her husband is from Jamaica. They opened the restaurant in Howell, NJ to bring the home-cooked Caribbean food they grew up with to the community they now call home. The food is a direct reflection of both of their family kitchens.

We have been serving the Howell, NJ community for over three years. In that time we have become a regular stop for families, workers on the Route 9 corridor, and Caribbean-heritage customers across Monmouth County who tell us the food reminds them of cooking back home. That is the highest compliment we know how to receive.

Every dish is made in our kitchen from recipes that belong to us. There is no corporate menu, no central commissary, and no compromise on how the food is prepared.
